I believe in the innate potential each person has to do the best and I feel that each client is the expert in their own life. My role is to guide the natural process of problem solving, increasing client self-awareness, building on client strengths and reconnecting clients to their values, goals, restoring balance in their lives. I work from a client-centered approach that is holistic, solution focused, mindful, and utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach as appropriate. I am passionate about the power of play and nature as catalysts for healing and perspective.

I’m trauma-trained and experienced with active and veteran military, families, couples and children/teens. I’ve worked with fragmented  families restore cohesion, trained parents to manage difficult behavior and assisted many clients in crisis. I utilize evidence based practices tailored to individual client needs, faith and worldview.
I offer a mind/body approach to mental health integrating physical movement, play, nature and sport into traditional therapy. I am passionate about LGBTQ issues and working with couples and children/teens. I am a trained mediator, military social worker, public speaker, advocate and former snowboard instructor.
